How we keep comparisons fair
1. No pay-to-rank
Vendors cannot pay to be ranked higher or featured prominently. Rankings are determined solely by our published editorial scoring criteria, applied consistently to all platforms. If a tool ranks first, it's because it genuinely scored highest—not because they paid for placement.
2. Multiple data sources
We don't rely on our opinion alone. Our comparisons combine:
- G2 rating and Gartner rating, displayed separately
- Published exploratory evaluations for a subset of platforms
- Public pricing and feature documentation
- Recorded session observations and vendor documentation

3. Category-specific rankings
There's no single "best" OKR tool—it depends on your needs. A startup needs different features than an enterprise. A Jira-heavy engineering team has different priorities than a remote marketing team.
That's why we create category-specific comparisons with adjusted scoring weights. Each comparison shows which assessed tool scores highest for that use case, not just which has the most features.
4. Transparent methodology
