Why teams look for Mooncamp alternatives

  • Mooncamp has no native AI features. The benchmark owner confirmed this after the recorded trial; the AI assessment records that confirmation separately from session observations.

  • Paid plans are EUR-only (Essential EUR 7, Professional EUR 10 per user/month), billed annually, with a 5-user minimum. Enterprise requires 100+ users and SAML SSO is a paid add-on on lower tiers.

  • There is no free tier — a 14-day trial only — so very small teams comparing genuinely free options (Teamflect, Perdoo, OKRs Tool) have to look elsewhere.

    Overall benchmark score

Tability is a modern goal-tracking platform designed for teams who want to manage OKRs without complexity. It focuses on simplicity, accountability, and actionable insights.

Tested hands-on (Sep 2026) · Premium trial (14 days, no credit card)

Time for our own medicine. Tability was evaluated in a 30-minute session using the shared scenario, and the first difference showed before any goals existed: plan creation asks about check-in cadence and permissions up front. In several other tested tools those were settings I had to hunt for later – here the plan starts with a weekly reminder rhythm and access rules already decided.

    • Plan creation front-loads the decisions other tools hide – cadence and permissions first, OKRs from text second.
    • The key result is the primary object – a full page with a graph, and a check-in built around the comment.
    • The dashboards you build by hand elsewhere come out of the box.
The plan editor after import – plan score at 71, and the AI feedback pass finding nothing left to fix
The key result page after check-in – the graph at 48 per month, with data connector and agent manager alongside
The plan as a dashboard – timeline, key results, initiatives, net confidence score, and Quick AI Mode prompts, none of it built by hand

AI in this session: The key-result-scoped AI mode answered a strategy question about the specific key result in view, grounded in its context.

In this category it scores highest on ease of use and features (5), and lowest on reporting (4).

Choose it if you want a modern, clean OKR platform with dashboards ready out of the box, AI working across the product, and goals built for the agentic world — MCP, scheduled reports, and agents you can assign to key results. Skip it if you need a free tier, performance management with deep HRIS integration, or a heavyweight enterprise rollout with dedicated services at very large scale.

Perdoo helps organizations implement OKRs and execute their strategy. It offers a balanced feature set for mid-sized to large companies.

Tested hands-on (Sep 2026) · Free trial (no credit card)

Perdoo gave me the fastest OKR setup of the benchmark so far, and it did it with AI. After a classic onboarding – pick your framework, pick your cadence, a small hiccup with the password email that I won't hold against them – I found a goal importer that takes plain text. I pasted my whole test scenario and it came back parsed: objective, three key results with the right targets, initiative. One go.

    • The AI goal importer is one of the fastest OKR setups in this benchmark – our whole scenario parsed from plain text in one go.
    • In-app AI stops at the importer – but ChatGPT and Claude connect to your goals through Perdoo's MCP server.
    • The full test structure was live and attached to the sales team within minutes.
The importer parsed the full test scenario from plain text, targets included
The integrations catalog – ChatGPT and Claude connect through Perdoo's MCP server, next to an open API
The imported structure on the home view, with the weekly Action Center above it

In this category it scores highest on pricing transparency (5), and lowest on AI features (2.5).

Choose it if you want structured OKRs with an AI importer that created the scenario quickly — plus MCP access to your goals from ChatGPT and Claude. Skip it if you need a workspace-aware in-app assistant, ready-made leadership dashboards, or enterprise controls like IP restrictions and creation permissions.

Profit.co is a comprehensive OKR platform that combines objectives and key results with performance management. It offers a wide range of features for enterprise teams.

Tested hands-on (Sep 2026) · Free trial (30 days, no credit card)

Profit.co is the opposite bet to Mooncamp. Where Mooncamp keeps things minimal, Profit.co ships everything – OKRs, performance management, a separate task module, a huge connector catalog – and you feel that breadth from the first minute. Onboarding was slower than the modern tools: account creation, a wait while sample data generated, then email verification before I could start. The workspace arrived with a full set of sample OKRs already in place.

    • Every key result is a KPI you must define first – goal creation is slow and form-heavy.
    • Check-ins are the smartest moment in the product – our 48 was flagged At Risk against the plan line automatically.
    • Reporting is deep but reads like an advanced spreadsheet – and presentation mode is a download, not a view.
The Add KPI form – name, category, and measurement type before a key result exists
The check-in modal – 48 auto-flagged At Risk, 14.3% below the plan value for the date
The completed test structure – objective, three KPI-backed key results, and the initiative filed as a non-contributing key result

In this category it scores highest on integrations (5), and lowest on pricing transparency (1).

Choose it if you want OKRs, performance management, and tasks in one system, with deep integrations and enterprise controls, and you have the patience to configure it. Skip it if you want a lightweight OKR tool your team can navigate without training, native AI that works out of the box, or transparent pricing.

Peoplebox is an OKR platform focused on goal alignment, business reviews, and execution. It is positioned for teams that want OKRs tied to operating cadence and leadership visibility.

In this category it scores highest on reporting (4.25), and lowest on pricing transparency (1).

Strengths: Purpose-built OKR workflows with strong alignment features · Good leadership reporting and review cadence support

  6. 05
    3.3/5
    Overall benchmark score

Rhythms.ai is an innovative AI-powered platform that helps teams align strategy with execution. It combines OKRs with AI assistance to help teams set better goals, track progress, and drive accountability.

Tested hands-on (Sep 2026) · Free plan (limited AI credits, no credit card)

Rhythms.ai drops you straight into a chat window. Signup took seconds, and the first thing the platform wanted was a conversation – so I pasted my test OKRs and said they were for the sales team. The assistant noticed the team didn't exist, asked if it should create it, then built the objective, the key results, and the initiative, checking in with me before publishing. If you use Claude or ChatGPT a lot, this feels immediately familiar. It is also slower than Perdoo's importer, which just went and created everything.

    • Setup is a conversation – the assistant created the team, the OKRs, and the initiative from one pasted message.
    • The structure landed correctly and reads well in the alignment tree.
    • Check-ins get the details right – manual status, expected-vs-actual, and per-team cadence.
The setup conversation – team created, three key results and the initiative queued up
The alignment tree – objective, three key results, and the initiative
The check-in – 48 of 60, expected 55.82 shown, status set to Behind manually

AI in this session: The setup conversation was an alternative write task – the assistant created the team, objective, key results, and initiative from our pasted scenario, asking before publishing.

In this category it scores highest on integrations and reporting (4), and lowest on pricing transparency (1).

Choose it if you want an AI-native workspace — chat-first setup, auto-updating key results, an MCP server, and a huge connector catalog — and you'll trade some everyday responsiveness for it. Skip it if you want a fast, conventional OKR interface first and AI second, per-person dashboards, or control over who can create content.

Migration notes

  • Mooncamp's flexible data model (custom fields, views) tempts teams into complexity — migrate the goals, not the configuration.
  • If EU data residency drove the choice, note that several alternatives (including Tability) offer EU hosting.
  • Use the 14-day window of your replacement's trial to run one live check-in cycle before switching.
