About this template
The OKR presents a plan to enhance communication skills for effective messaging. The objective includes participation in public speaking at two local Toastmasters meetings each month. It details the need for attendance, speech preparation and research into local Toastmasters groups and their schedules.
A second component of the objective is to listen to a TED talk on communication weekly, then apply learned techniques. There must be daily practice of the communication techniques learned, note-taking during the TED talks, and weekly selection of relevant TED talks.
A third part of the objective proposes soliciting and applying feedback on communication style from five colleagues each month. Steps include identifying colleagues for feedback, incorporating constructive criticism, and requesting specific input on communication style.
This OKR provides a roadmap in order to enhance the person's communication skills by including attendance in public forums, learning from thought leaders and practicing ways to handle criticism along with transforming it into improved communication.
