Questions about Tability MCP?

What is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for connecting AI models to outside tools and data sources. It's not specific to Tability, it's the same standard Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI tools use to connect to apps generally.

Is MCP secure for enterprise use?

Yes. Tability's MCP server inherits the same permissions, SOC2-aligned practices, and regional hosting as the rest of the platform. Admins control access at the workspace level and can turn it off entirely.

Which AI tools support Tability's MCP server?

Any MCP-compatible client, including Claude Desktop and ChatGPT, can connect. You're not locked into a single AI provider.

Do I need to be technical to set this up?

Yes. Every AI feature runs on the same SOC2-aligned infrastructure as the rest of Tability, is GDPR-compliant with regional hosting in the US, EU, and AU, and is fully optional and admin-controlled. AI data is processed through enterprise-tier model APIs and is never used for training.

What happens if we don't want to enable AI or MCP in our workspace?

Some teams disable AI features entirely for their own security policies, and that's fine, Tability's core platform, goal setting, tracking, check-ins, reporting, works exactly the same either way. MCP just adds another way to run it, and allows you to have greater control over it's customizability. Tability can totally run without any AI features enabled.
